What to do in Palma de Mallorca
Visit Palma de Mallorca during your cruise vacation
Palma Mallorco is often abbreviated to Palma. The locals call it Ciutat. It's the capital of the island of Majorca, part of the Balearic Islands. The city area may not very large, but over the years it has become the economic and cultural center of the archipelago.
This charming city with a wonderful mild climate is also a major tourist attraction. Every year hundreds of thousands of tourists cool off along the beautiful sandy beaches. During high season Palma is also one of the busiest airports in Europe. The long stretched marina and promenade connect the harbor with the historic center where you can find most highlights.
It's especially the stately cathedral La Seu that reflects the rich history of Palma. In the center, you can spend hours among the small streets and taste the local cuisine in one of the typical restaurants.
