Timanfaya national park
This UNESCO world heritage site is one of the most unique places in the world.
Famous for its Mountains of Fire, at the heart of this eerie 51 sq km park. At a depth of Timanfaya the temperature is already 100°C; by 10 m it’s up to 800°C. The cause of this phenomenon is a broiling magma chamber 4km below the surface.
