The overall experience was really good. I will, for sure, use your services again in future.
The trip was well organized but I would suggest that the tour organizer meet you in the town in Pisa because it is confusing finding the bus when there is so many busses. They took us to the first store with a toilet - if they waited there it would have made it less stressful.
We started the morning by departing over 1.5 hours late from the cruise terminal due to traffic issues at the Port. This made heading to Sorrento and Positano highly challenging time wise. We ended up skipping going to Positano (only saw it from a vista view point), turning around and heading into Sorrento (only to have 20 mins for a quick stop before we had to leave), and then head to Pompeii.
Our driver tried to make the best of the situation. But you could tell he wasn’t happy about the traffic. He also spoke limited English which made the tour difficult.
The tour operator tried to make up for the poor experience in the morning by providing us with a complimentary walking guide at Pompeii. This guide was fantastic and made our two hours at Pompeii fabulous.
Our driver then gave us a quick 15 mins tour of Naples sights by car before heading back to the Port.
All in all, the tour operator really couldn’t have done anything different. Except maybe tell us upfront that the itinerary we had planned was possibly too challenging for the day. And while our driver really did try to provide a good experience, the lack of English made it difficult. In the end we used google translate app to help aid understanding.
A great afternoon at Pompeii saved the day.
The transfers to Oia and to Fira were perfect! Thanks!
Unfortunately the information provided was slightly misleading, we assumed that the meeting point was ten minutes walk from the cruise terminal. In fact it was more like a ten minute taxi journey from where our cruise terminated. In the end we arrived at the meeting point late, so missed the full tour
