We are on the cruise and really enjoying ourselves. Our booking with you for the tour of Kotor was perfect!
We all had a really good time and the guide was friendly, courteous and very accommodating.
It all went very smoothly.
Thank you for your service.
1 The Amalfi coast tour: 45 minutes at Amalfi is too little time for such a beautiful town and a beautiful cathedral.
Despite running, we had to rush through the cathedral sights.
2 Rome. The walking-tour is meaningless as it took us only through the narrow streets. Perhaps we could make it more exciting :
- a) 20 minutes at St Paul's cathedral,
- b) Enter the Coliseum with a Cut-the queue ticket ( pre purchased when we book the tour with you. Late bookers will just have free time to roam about, with all explanations about the venue done in the bus. Participants in the tour bemoaned not entering such a wonderful place. )
- c) Photo-stop at the Trevi Fountain ( no change)
- d) Pick up and proceed to the Vatican. Participants who do not wish to buy the cut-the queue ticket
will be free to lunch near the Vatican, and walk around on their own.
This way, we get to see 4 spots in better detail.
- Livorno- Florence. All in good timing.
Pisa. The walking route to the bus stand is complicated and far. Perhaps the guide should set a place in the Pisa square to meet at an appointed time. Some members of the group lost their way trying to find their way back to the bus. People they asked for directions weren't very helpful. One in our group was pick-pocketed. There was lots of anguish, and in the end, the guide still had to go back the the square to search for them. Precious time was lost that way, with everyone worried about getting back to the cruise ship in time.
- Cannes, Monaco, Eze. No problems as we had our own private driver who spoke good English, and was very helpful.
Your agents at all the stops were helpful and punctual
We had a great time in our cruise. We also enjoyed all our shore excursions booked through ShoreBee. You can be assure your local partners are doing a great job. The only time we felt a little anxious was on the first port (Naples), maybe because it was our first time doing this and we were not sure what to expect. However we wish the people from the World Tours would have been more visible right from the start (maybe a bigger signage or bright colorful t-shirt), because the pick up time was 8am and we were there even a little earlier, but we had a hard time finding them amidst the crowded port. Once we met our guide everything was fine.
I would definitely recommend ShoreBee to family and friends as we had a great experience in all ports.
We have no complaint at all in regard to the recent excursion taken with ShoreBee.
We were brought by shuttle to the departure point and your staff were there to greet us and we were soon on our way to Bruges.
At the end of our day we were collected and brought back to the port with no problems at all.
We would recommend your services to any who asked.
we were a small group of 8 and booked the private transfer + private guide for Pompeii.
when we disembarked the ship our driver Mike, a very distinguished ex-taxi driver, was waiting for us with his minivan. he was very keen on telling us about his city Naples. it took about 30 min to arrive at Pompeii where our guide Elena was waiting for us.
She arranged the tickets and off we went for the tour. She is a very good guide with a vast knowledge of the lost city. the two hours flew by and she was able to keep our attention the whole time. (= if you have the change, ask for her). on the way back, Mike had a little more time and took us on a ride through the city of Naples to show us some of the highlights. after 45 min of sightseeing he took us back to the ship.
this excursion was perfect in every way: from booking it on Shore Bee till dropping us off at the ship.
I would definitely recommend this to small groups because you can enjoy the site at your own pace (+ the price is much more interesting than the price on the ship AND you support the local businesses).
low cost return transfer Livorno port - Pisa
we had ample time to disembark the ship and take the ship's shuttle to the city's center (= meeting point).
when arriving at the city center, the bus from Tuscany Bus Company was already waiting and we could board immediately. the bus was very comfortable and new and in about 30 min we arrived at the parking lot in Pisa.
it was about 10 min walk to the Miracle Square (but you will pass several shopping stalls along the way to make the walk very agreeable). we had about 2 hours time (which is more than enough to take photo's, have a coffee, go inside the tower) and then the bus took us back to the city center. the shuttle bus of the ship arrived exactly at the same time so we didn't have to wait any longer.
TIP: if you would like to go inside the church or tower, be sure to book your tickets in advance in order to avoid the queue on the spot.
so as you can read: we are very happy customers and when I'm going on my next holiday, I will make sure to check your website for excursion or transfers !
We really enjoyed are bike tour of Valencia, in fact it was the highlight of our cruise.
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the City and the tour enabled us to see all the main attractions. The organisation was very good to with our guide waiting in the cruise terminal when we arrived, the bikes were a few minutes later and had a selection of sizes.
The bikes were very comfortable and the pace of the tour very good.
Are you or your local partner on trip advisor ? If you send a link I'd be happy to add a review.
I'd thoroughly recommend the bike tour and service provided by ShoreBee.
I thoroughly enjoyed my cruise, thank you very much
I thought the service from Shorebee was very, very good.
On my initial booking you made me aware of a mistake on the arrival port for my trip to Monaco.
This was quickly resolved and sorted, without any fuss. Well spotted !!
The trip to Rome from Civitechia with Civita Tours was excellent. On arrival at the port we were directed to the correct bus easily. Upon arrival at Rome we were introduced to our Guide. She was fantastic.
It was a pleasure to follow her around the sights of Rome. She was very informative and fun, especially with our 5 year old son.
When we got to the Vatican, we had another guide in the Basillica. Again, she was very very good.
The following day, we had booked for a trip to Florence from Livorno port.
As we had done a lot of walking in Rome, our 5 year old son was not keen on the 2hr bus trip and all the walking in Florence. So, at 8.30am I phoned the TuscanyBus company and a very helpful women answered. She changed my reservation from Florence to Pisa, with no fuss. Obviously, there was no refund in the cost, but I was happy to do this and appreciative of the help given.
The bus journey to Pisa and back was very good and on time.
On arrival in Cannes, we met with our guide - another woman from LivenUp tours. Again she was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We shared the tour with a couple from The United States and the whole tour was very enjoyable.
I would like to thank Shorebee for organising the excursions.
I would highly recommend your company and the tour operators that you use.
I also would not hesitate to use your company again for any future cruise excursions
Many Thanks on Jobs Well Done
Our Shorebee experiences were extremely pleasurable. Our guides : Tracy in Naples (Amalfie Coast) Elania Rome & Cathy Cannes (Monaco) were pleasant and informative. They made great memories to last a lifetime and I can't thank you and them enough.
We had a very nice trip and our guide was wonderful. He was very informative and extremely helpful with our 4 year old son. We would book another tour with Shore Bee in the future.
We enjoyed the tour. Giovanni was punctual, very friendly and informative. However, I do believe that there is room for improvement:
- It was very hard to contact the office and get confirmation for the tour
- The website has a glitch where it allowed me to book private tour for four ppl at 80-something Euros each but in the end, we had to pay 600 Euros
- We were not given guidance regarding the train system (how to validate tickets, etc.) and ended up getting a 200Euro fine
- Given that we paid 600Euros for the trip and train tickets cost 2Euros per person, I would've expected train tickets to be included to avoid the hassle of buying them at every stop. We only found out at the last stop that we could've gotten a pass for the 5 cities. I'd suggest you include that in the package.
- I understand that the van cannot be driven from one city to the other, but it would be nice if the guide could walk around with us on the first city and do a short tour.
I hope you can find value in my comments.
