Train from Lisbon to Lisbon (city)
Whether you can take a train into Lisbon city center depends on where exactly you will dock.
Train from da Rocha or Alcantara cruise terminal
If you dock at da Rocha Conde de Obidos or Alcantara, the train line between Cascais and Cais do Sodre along the Rio Tejo is just a few minutes walking away in front of you. Leave the docking area and go to the Alcantara-Mar train station.
If you want to go to the city center, take a train in the direction of Cais do Sodre, the terminal. From there you can walk into the center or take a metro. If you want to walk from Cais do Sodre, just walk along the banks of the Rio Tejo on your right side. Soon you will arrive in front of Praca do Comercio on your left side, one of the main squares of Lisbon. From here you have entrance to Lisbon city center with all its highlights.
If you want to go to Belem area by train, one of the places of interest of Lisbon, take the train at Alcantara-Mar train station in the direction of Cascais and get off at Belem. From there you continue on foot with the banks of Rio Tejo at your left hand side.
All trains run frequent and bring you to your destination in a few minutes for about €1,25 euro per person one way. You can buy tickets at the ticket counter or at one of the machines inside the station.
Train from Santa Apolonia cruise terminal
If you dock at Santa Apolonia cruise terminal you are very close to Lisbon city center, but far away from Belem area, another point of interest in Lisbon. The best option for you to go there is to take a train from Cais do Sodre train station, direction Cascais and get off at Belem.
Cais do Sodre train station is about 3 kilometers walking from your docking area. First walk to Praca do Comercio and continue along the banks of Rio Tejo on your left side. Soon you will arrive at Cais do Sodre train station. Another option is first going to the city center and take a metro from Rossio to Cais do Sodre (green line).
