What to do in Bari
Visit Bari during your cruise vacation
Bari is a typical southern Italian town with chaotic and noisy traffic, temper and arm gestures of the people, and vibrant street life. But it all happens in a cozy, friendly, and welcoming way, typical for the South.
Throughout history, Bari is a typical merchant's and sailor's city. The historic old town, with its many churches, squares, and castle, is well preserved. It is not a visit to the monuments that will make the visit worthwhile, but the cozy atmosphere.
The historical center of Bari is not really big and can be visited in a few hours. Bari is fun because of the atmosphere and interesting because of some landmarks. The visit can be combined with an excursion to the distant Alberobello.
