The cruise port of Olbia is located at the eastern end of Via Isola Bianca, a dead end peninsula. It is a major ferry port with connections to the mainland. In the harbor several piers are located around the Stazione Marittima, the cruise and ferry terminal.
There is only one way to the center of the city, located about 2 km from the docking area. The city of Olbia itself has few landmarks. Most passengers opt for an excursion to Porto Cervo or go for a relaxing day on Pittulongu Beach.

Getting around in Olbia
The cruise port is located about 2 kilometers from the city. You can easily walk around. If the cruise line company does not provide a shuttle bus, you can also opt for a taxi or public bus. The few sights in Olbia are all within walking distance.
You can easily reach the nearby Pittulongu Beach by public bus or taxi.
If you want to explore more distant places on the island, things get more difficult by public transportation. Buses do not run very frequently. You better join an organized tour or take a taxi.
Shore excursions around Olbia
Even though Olbia is a popular port, there is not much to see in the city itself. In 1 to 2 hours you are done.
Most cruise passengers opt for an excursion further on the island. A relaxing day on Pittulongu Beach or a visit to the natural beauty of the Costa Smeralda.
