Public bus from Sorrento to Naples
An alternative for the train is the bus of the SITA network. They connect all the important places along the Amalfi coast (including Sorrento) with Naples. You can take a bus in front of Sorrento train station.
There run 1-2 buses per hour. The journey takes about an hour and costs € 2,80 per person (one way). In Naples get off at Nuovo Marina bus stop. From there it's easy to walk to the city center. Check the timetable and tariffs in advance.
TIP: If you plan to use the public transport more often consider a day ticket. Unicocampania offers several possibilities. With a combined day ticket you can make unlimited use of the various bus, metro and train companies (including Circumvesuviana) in the region around Naples. The SITA bus stop is located opposite the train station. From the port of Marina Piccola, you have 3 options to get there:
- a steep walk of 2 km
- a taxi (€ 10, 4 persons, one way)
- orange public bus (€ 1.50 per person, one way)
