Lucca Segway sightseeing tour

from €75 per person

Do you want to discover Lucca in a fun and informative way? Glide on your eco-friendly PT i2 Segway through the historic city center. Without any effort you will see all the highlights and get a taste of this beautiful Renaissance city.

The tour starts at the car park at Piazzale Verdi, near the Tourist Information Point. The starting point is located in the west of the Walled City. If you are on a cruise to Livorno, you can easily reach Lucca by train. Your starting point is about 1 kilometer on foot from Lucca train station.

After meeting your guide, you start with a 30 minutes training session. A Segway is easy to use, and doesn't require any special abilities, but it's good to practice a little before setting off.

Your discovery of the city that gave birth to the composers Puccini and Boccherini starts with a ride along the Renaissance city walls for a first city overview. You can admire the beautiful Tuscan landscape and the River Serchio at the base of the walls.

You will glide your way to the Dome of St. Martin, the Gothic cathedral of Lucca passing along Pizza Napoleone, Piazza Giglio and Piazza San Michele. Next you will visit Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, the famous square where the original shape of the Roman amphitheater still can be seen. You get there by ascending the city walls once more before gliding down to the heart of the city center. A next stop is the marvelous Romanesque Basilica of San Frediano located at Piazza San Frediano.

The tour ends at the same place where it started at Piazzale Verdi.
