What to do in Paleokastritsa
Visit Paleokastritsa during your cruise vacation
Paleokastritsa is one of the most popular resorts on Corfu. The golden sandy beaches in small bays and coves are surrounded by green mountains with large rock formations ending smoothly into the sea.
Sometimes this place is also called the "Capri of Greece", because of the resemblance with the island of Capri off the Amalfi coast in southern Italy. The water at Paleokastritsa is very bright and has deep blue to emerald green shades. It was the British rulers who discovered it and built a road.
Today it's a popular and busy tourist destination, but Paleokastritsa has managed to preserve its charm. From the Theo Toko Monastery at 300 meters high on the mountains, you have a breathtaking view on the bay of Paleokastritsa.
If you love nature and beautiful landscapes, then certainly visit Paleokastritsa. If you want to relax on the beach you will find something of your liking. Count on at least 2 to 3 hours, but of course you can also stay longer.
