The port of the island of Santorini is situated near the main town of Fira. It's much too small for cruise ships. They anchore near the cliffs of Fira, resulting in some spectacular views. Tender boats take you ashore in the old port. From there you have several options to explore the island. You can explore the town of Fira itself or you can also make an excursion to Oia.

Metropolitan cathedral is a modern cathedral from the 19th century. It was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1956.
Santorini is so small you can easily visit it on foot. If you want to make a shore excursion to Oia you have a few options by public transport or taxi.
