For cruise passengers, the port of Hamburg offers two terminals that are both located in close proximity to the city center. Visitors docking here have a lot of options when it comes to sightseeing. For very short stays, visitors can explore the harbor area itself, one of the most appealing attractions the city has to offer. For visitors having more time on their hands, this port offers many options from exploring the many sights in the city, to taking a fun detour to nearby, Berlin.
From the Airport to Hamburg Cruise Port:
The S-bahn train station is located below the airport terminal and is very easily accessible. Visitors can take the subway line S1 to Jungfernstieg, and from there take the U4 and get off at Überseequartier, which is about 50 m away from the Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity. This option is not only convenient but also cheaper than a taxi.
Taxis are available easily outside the airport terminal and will take visitors to the HafenCity cruise center in about 25 minutes. The trip will cost approximately €30.
From the S-bahn below the airport terminal, visitors can take the subway line S1 to Landungsbrücken, from here they can take the ferry line 62 to Finkenwerder and exit at Dockland. The Hamburg Cruise Center Altona is located right next to the ferry pier.
Taxis are also easily available at the airport and visitors can reach Altona in about 15-20 mins via taxi. The trip will cost about €27.

Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity:
The Hamburg cruise terminal, HafenCity is located to the south of the city center. The modern building features a unique architectural design with walls made entirely of shipping containers. It also offers a great view of the port of Hamburg and visitors often stop here for the breathtaking view.

Hamburg Cruise Center Altona:
