Getting around in Alexandria

The cruise port is located at 4-5 kilometers from the center of Alexandria and most sights. If you have enough time you can walk there. Nevertheless a taxi is your best option here. It's not expensive.

If you want to go to Cairo and/or the Pyramids of Giza, there are a number of possibilities with public transport. If you have limited time, better join an organized tour given the great distances.
