This private half day tour takes you along some of the most important sights of Istanbul. Your professional guide will take you to the Ancient Hipodrome, the beautiful Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace where you will visit the museum.

Your excursion starts at the cruise port of Istanbul where the guide will welcome you in Turkey with a signboard with your name on it.

After you have crossed the Galata Bridge by private A/C transport it's only a short ride to the Ancient Hipodrome where you can see the remnants of the old arena for chariot races. It was also an important venue for sport and political manifestations during Roman and Byzantine times.

Together with your guide you will walk to the nearby Blue Mosque, maybe one of the most significant landmarks of the Sultanahmet district. Not only the blue Iznik tiles but also the 6 dominant and slim minarets makes the Blue Mosque different from all other mosques.

The tour continues on foot to the Topkapi Palace. It dates back to the 15th century and played a dominant role as administrative and educational center during the Ottoman Empire. You will visit the former residence of the sultans and the museum, inlcuding the treasury and weapon section.

At the end of you excursion you are transferred back to the cruise port of Istanbul.

This tour comes with 3 options: morning half-day tour, afternoon half-day tour or full-day tour. They all start at Istanbul cruise port where the guide will wait for you.

You will discover the city on foot, giving you the best chance to observe the daily life and take great pictures. Our groups are limited to maximum 14 participants. Morning half-day tour

The tour starts at 08.00h at the cruise port where the guide will wait for you. You will visit Topkapi Palace (visit of Harem is optional), Basilica Cistern (Underground Water Palace) and Roman Hippodrome. The tour ends at Sultanahmet square at about 12.00h

Afternoon half-day tour

Your guide will pick you up at 13.00h at the cruise port. You will see and visit St. Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Million stone, the Tomb of Sultan Mahmud and the ancient Ottoman cemetery, Cemberlitas (Burnt Column). Your afternoon visit ends at about 16.30h with free time in the Grand Bazaar.

Full-day tour

After pick-up at the cruise port your guide will take you through the city and you will make a combination of the above mentioned half day tours. You have free time during lunch between 12.30h and 13.30h
