A private car will take you to Catania city centre for a gastronomic guided visit of the city and its delights. Together with the specialized guide you’ll visit the ancient market, famous for its colour and aromas. Later, you’ll taste the delicious handmade arancini and the street food in the most popular gastronomy shop of Catania, the typical cannoli in a famous local bakery… like a real Sicilian! In the afternoon, you’ll stop along the Riviera dei Ciclopi to eat granita & brioches. At 3:00 pm end of the gastronomic tour and return to the hotel.

The guided tour starts from your hotel, where the official guide will welcome you to Sicily.
A private bus/car will take you to Ortygia, the island at the eastern end of Syracuse separated from it by a narrow channel and connected by three bridges. The island, which is in the World Heritage UNESCO list, is an extremely popular place for tourism, shopping, entertainment, but it includes also a great deal of important baroque architecture of 17th and 18th centuries, and various other places of interest. Get away from the tourist crowds and explore the mesmerizing maze of La Giudecca, Ortygia’s old Jewish Quarter. The area, accessed by way of Ponte Nuovo, is the best for exploring on foot.
Later, departure by private bus/car and guided visit of the Archeological site and Greek theatre, which dates back at least until the 5th Century BC.
At the end of the visit, the tour will continue with the baroque town of Noto which provides a spectacular composition of streets and buildings in the Baroque, from nobile palaces such as Palazzo Ducezio to religious complexes - the Cathedral of San Nicolò, for example.

Montalbano sites tour

A private bus/car will take you to Ragusa Ibla, which provides a spectacular composition of streets and buildings in the Baroque style, from Nobile palaces to religious complexes. Visit of the old district of “Archi” and its spectacular monuments.
The tour will continue with the town of Modica, attractive historic town in south-eastern Sicily, one of the area's UNESCO-listed Baroque towns. Many scenes of the Inspector Montalbano TV series took place there. Visit to a Chocolate factory and free time to lunch.
Later, departure by private bus/car and guided visit of the beautiful town of Scicli, totally rebuilt in pure Sicilian Baroque style after the earthquake of 1693. Here you can see the City All which is represented in the Montalbano TV series as the police station of Vigata.
At the end of the visit, the tour ends with the visit of Punta Secca, where you’ll admire the amazing sea view and the Montalbano’s Villa. At the end departure by private bus to your hotel and end of the guided tour.

Segway Pt Tour Catania

The curious visitor can see in Catania traces of the imperial Roman age, a medieval castle and many palaces with enchanting late-baroque facades. Roaming in Segway PT you will be able to visit the entire old town in half a day.

We will start from Piazza Alcalà (in central Catania), near Villa Pacini (entrance from Via Cardinale Dusmet, opposite Porta Uzeda) -satellite coordinates 37°30'05.2"N 15°05'15.6"E- a green area in front of the harbour, where we will learn together how to use our Segway PT. From here we will reach Piazza Duomo. This is the heart of the town where there are Catania’s symbol, an elephant in lava stone and the city hall.

Taking via Etnea we will cross Piazza Università. From here we go to Piazza Vincenzo Bellini where there is the wonderful lyrical theatre named after Vincenzo Bellini.

Going along Via Etnea, we will reach Piazza Stesicoro, where we will see the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre and the monument to Vincenzo Bellini, Catania’s swan.

Having covered another piece of Via Etnea, vibrant street with commercial activities and meeting places, we will cross the green area of the public garden, well known as “Villa Bellini”, so we will reach the high part of the town where we will admire in Piazza Dante the church San Nicola and the Benedictine’s Monastery.

After that we will penetrate into the baroque town, crossing Via Crociferi, chosen by different film makers to be the set of many movies (“Storia di una capinera – Sparrow” by Franco Zeffirelli adapted from the homonymous novel by Giovanni Verga, and “I Vicerè – The viceroys” by Roberto Faenza itself drawn from the novel by Federico De Roberto) to arrive, after passing under the arch San Benedetto, to piazza San Francesco and then to Piazza Federico di Svevia, where we will find out the castle Ursino built in the XIII century, today the only evidence still visible of the medieval town.

Finally we will go back to Villa Pacini.

Taormina and its Ancient Theatre

This private tour starts at the cruise port of Catania where the guide will welcome you in Sicily.

After meeting your Guide at the pier along the ship, you board your deluxe Motor coach or Minivan with driver. You will follow the highway along the Ionian coast and proceed up to Monte Tauro where Taormina was founded by a group of refugees from Naxos, which was destroyed in 358 BC by Dionysius, tyrant of Syracuse.

The coach will leave you at the parking lot and then you will go up to Taormina by elevator. After a 15 minutes’ walk through the main street of Taormina you will reach the Ancient Greek-Roman Theatre. It’s one of the most beautiful sites in the world, with its well preserved stones and stage and the snow-covered Mount Etna on the background.

You proceed with a walking tour in the delightful little town full of hidden corners, atmosphere and colors.

You have time at leisure for shopping along the main street full of boutiques and local handicraft stores.

After taking the elevators back to the parking lot, you board your coach and return to the cruise port of Catania.
