A great way to see the city is on foot. The harbor district and the warehouse district are located minutes away from the HafenCity Cruise Center which is also at a 20 minute walk to the downtown city.

From the Altona Cruise Center it's a 50 minute walk to the city center (4 km).

TIP: From Atlona Cruise Center first take a 15 minute walk to the S-bahn station at the Reeperbahn and witness the famed street, then get a train to other spots in the city.

A taxi ride from Antona cruise terminal to Hamburg city center will take about 15 minutes. Count on €15-20 per taxi (4 persons, one way). Hafencity cruise terminal is much closer to the center. It will cost about €10 per taxi (4 persons, one way).

The city of Hamburg is covered by the HVV network operating U-bahn, S-bahn, bus, train and passenger ferry.

From Altona cruise terminal it's only a 10 minute walk to the S-bahn station Hamburg Koningsstrabe. Take the green S1 line to Jungfernstieg in the city center.

At just 300 meters walk from the HafenCity cruise terminal you can find the U-bahn station Uberseequartier. Take the green U4 line and get off at Jungfernstieg in the city center.

Those rides takes less than 10 minutes and trains run very frequent every 5 minutes. A one-way tickets costs about €2,5 per person. You can find more information here.
