What to do in Nice

Visit Nice during a Mediterranean cruise

Introduction

Nice is perhaps the most popular town on the Cote d'Azur. The climate is mild throughout the year and the city attracts many tourists. In Vieux-Nice, one can find the authentic French atmosphere at the markets, squares, terraces, bistros, and retaurants. All this is in a unique, historic setting. The colors and scents of lavender, olive oil, ceramics and wine gives this city a rustic, rural character.

Nice is a modern city and invests heavily in the restoration of squares and houses. It's lovely to stroll near the  Mediterranean Sea along the long stretched Boulevard des Anglais. The beaches seem to merge with the city life. From the top of the rocks at the Parc de la Colline du Château a beautiful view of the city and its coastline can be seen.
