Tram from Zeebrugge to Blankenberge

The kusttram (=coastal tram) connects all major towns along the Belgian coast. You can reach Blankenberge by tram from Zeebrugge in just 10 minutes. You can buy a ticket on the tram and it will costs € 2 per person (one way). There is a tram every 15 minutes. Take the tram in the direction of De Panne. Interesting stops in Blankenberge are:

  • Blankenberge Duinse polders: ideal if you want to go to the beach or dunes immediately
  • Sea Life Blankenberge: to visit the theme park and aquarium Sea Life
  • Blankenberge Pier: on walking distance from the Pier and Casino
  • Blankenberge Station Platform 1: center, close to the shopping area and the train station

How do I get to the stop of the kusstram from the cruise port in Zeebrugge?

First take the shuttle bus from your cruise ship to the exit of the port. This bus is provided by the port authorities and is free. You can find them on the pier at the gangway of your cruise ship. From the exit of the port, follow the Kustlaan to the right. After 500 meters you reach the church of Zeebrugge. There you can take the tram at the stop "Zeebrugge-Kerk."

TIP: Take a tram till "Zeebrugge-Strandwijk" and walk along the beach and sand dunes to Blankenberge (about 4 kilometers)
